Another crucial consideration was ensuring support for high power, necessitating the use of 3″ tubing. In their pursuit, they conducted experiments with the inclusion of a mixing chamber in their X-pipe design. Analysis using 3D CAD software demonstrated a notable increase in velocity downstream of the mixing chamber within a range of measured pressure and temperature levels. This facilitates optimal flow characteristics, reduces backpressure to enhance higher horsepower output, and elevates the system’s sound quality. Including quad race resonators plays a discernible role in minimizing drone while encouraging a more refined exhaust note. Furthermore, the system was designed with modularity in mind, allowing for the ease of tip replacement, conversion back to factory catalytic converters, or the option to add their race cat pipes at any desired time.

For a personalized touch, you have the freedom to choose from a selection of hand-finished tip options, allowing you to select the appearance that best complements your 991. Alternatively, you can opt to reuse your factory tips.
