Full Dual Muffler Exhaust
The flagship model showcases HKS exhaust technology, featuring a complete independent layout for both the right and left banks of the V-type engine. It adopts a full dual layout without the 2-1 junction found in the stock exhaust system. This design eliminates performance loss caused by exhaust interference, allowing for smooth and unrestricted high RPM operation.
In 1973, two skilled engineers named Hiroyuki Hasegawa and Mr. Kitagawa embarked on a remarkable endeavor to produce high-performance engines and parts that were not readily available from major original equipment manufacturers. With the backing of Sigma Automotive Co., Ltd, they initiated their journey in a barn located near Mount Fuji, Japan, where they dedicated themselves to modifying gasoline engines. The following year, Hasegawa accomplished a groundbreaking achievement by designing the very first aftermarket turbocharger for passenger vehicles. This pioneering development established a new benchmark in the realm of aftermarket performance.
Driven by a relentless spirit of innovation, HKS continued to push boundaries and introduce groundbreaking products to the market. They introduced various notable advancements such as the first electronic turbo timer and boost controller, as well as piggy-back fuel computers and sophisticated fuel management devices. These innovations propelled HKS to the forefront of the Japanese aftermarket performance scene, solidifying their reputation as an industry leader.
