• Similar to AMS’ Carbon Fiber Plenums and in contrast to most aftermarket GTR Intake Manifolds that exhibit power gains primarily in the upper power band while sacrificing performance at lower RPMs, the Alpha GT-R Cast Aluminum Intake Manifold Plenums deliver comprehensive performance. In comparison to the leading cast aluminum GTR intake manifold currently available, AMS’ offering not only generates higher horsepower and torque, but it does so consistently across the entire power band. As soon as your turbos begin to spool up, the Alpha GTR intake manifold enhances power and torque output. The remarkable aspect is that this increased performance is achieved without compromising responsiveness or power delivery throughout the RPM range.

Larger, Perfectly Molded Cast Aluminum Plenums

• Drawing from their championship-winning Carbon Fiber Intake Plenums, AMS recognizes the crucial role of proper plenum function in maximizing the performance of any intake manifold. In the case of the GT-R, there are two plenums, one for each bank. It is not only essential to size them correctly for the appropriate volume but also to shape them in a manner that ensures an even distribution of charged air among the precisely machined CNC aluminum velocity stacks leading into the runners. Both plenums, crafted from lightweight cast aluminum, undergo meticulous molding and tapering to effectively channel the charged air. This design minimizes turbulence and expedites the delivery of charged air to the engine. By maintaining a balanced airflow, sustaining maximum velocity, and optimizing pressure when required, your GT-R reaps the benefits of increased horsepower output.

The Difference Is In The Details

• To ensure an uninterrupted flow of air from the throttle body to the cylinder heads, each manifold is precisely matched with its corresponding upper and lower running sections. AMS’ engineers have meticulously specified tight tolerances at the junction of the upper and lower sections. However, they went above and beyond by incorporating dowel locating pins to achieve perfect alignment of the upper and lower ports. This meticulous approach eliminates any steps or protrusions that could potentially cause unwanted turbulence, a common issue observed in other aftermarket GTR intake manifolds.

Rigorously Tested

• With the aim of providing an intake manifold that excels in strength and reliability, AMS joined forces with an industry expert. To ensure its durability, they subjected the finalized design to rigorous cycle testing in a high-temperature environment, simulating over 20 years of operation similar to that of the average GT-R owner. Impressively, a burst test was conducted, subjecting the test manifold to pressures exceeding 150psi. These tests set the AMS intake manifold apart, as no other GTR intake manifold available in the market has undergone such demanding and strenuous trials.

Third Fuel Rail Engineered To Support Incredible Power

• To cater to exceptionally high-powered GT-Rs, the manifold incorporates provisions for an additional Alpha fuel rail installation. This supplemental rail ensures a sufficient fuel supply to feed a VR engine that can generate over 2000+ horsepower. The positioning of fuel injectors plays a vital role as optimizing the spray angle enhances fuel atomization and efficiency. AMS’ engineers embraced these concepts during the design of their third rail setup. This option is available for customers who may wish to upgrade from the standard two rail Alpha cast aluminum manifold to a three rail system in the future.

• While AMS believes this product is either CARB EO exemption applicable, or complies with the EPA’s Anti-Tampering Policy, they have not completed the required testing and administrative process at this time. This product is not available to purchase for emissions-controlled vehicles located within the state of California, or available to ship to California addresses, without a completed AMS Race Waiver form.
